The national capital is lit up and decked out with posters as India prepares to host the 18th BRICS Summit on September 12 and 13 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

From floral displays and murals to enhanced landscaping and BRICS-themed installations, parts of the capital are being spruced up ahead of the high-profile gathering.

India, which holds the BRICS Chairship in 2026, will host leaders of BRICS member and partner countries at the summit. The theme of India’s Chairship is “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”

Delhi Traffic Police has prepared an elaborate traffic management plan for the upcoming BRICS Summit, which will see the participation of heads of state, foreign delegations, leaders of international organisations and other key dignitaries.

Additional CP (Traffic) Dinesh Kumar Gupta told news agency ANI that extensive arrangements are being made across Delhi to facilitate the movement of foreign delegates and ensure minimum inconvenience to the public.
