The government said on Thursday it will strengthen technical and vocational education in Delhi’s Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) by establishing state-of-the-art laboratories in four of them, besides modernising existing laboratories to ensure that training aligns completely with current industry standards and requirements.
Through the initiative, the government aims to bring a “significant enhancement” in employability and technical proficiency, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) announced.
“These modern labs will not only enhance technical capabilities but also give trainees exposure to real-world industrial practices, opening up opportunities for both employment and self-employment,” Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said. She said the move is aligned with the Central government’s vision of Skill India.
