The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of cold wave and dense fog conditions in several parts of the country from December 9. Cold wave conditions very likely to continue to prevail over central adjoining east and northern Peninsular India from December 9 to December 12, the weather agency said. “Cold wave conditions are expected to persist over central, eastern, and northern Peninsular India during December 9th–12th and are likely to begin over northwest and western India from December 10, continuing until the 12th,” the IMD said in the latest weather bulletin.
According to the IMD, dense fog is forecast during early morning hours in isolated pockets of Assam and Manipur from December 9th–13th, and in East Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on December 9th and 10th.
A cold wave warning has been issued for multiple districts in Telangana, with minimum temperatures expected to drop by 3 to 4 degree Celsius in the next 48 hours, according to a weather forecast from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad on Monday evening.
