BJP govt In Delhi fulfilled Election promise: Virendra Sachdeva

State BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said on Sunday that the BJP government has fulfilled another election promise made to the traders of the capital. Now the requirement of obtaining separate license from Delhi Police for hotels, restaurants, motels and entertainment venues has been abolished. This is a big step towards ‘Ease of Business’.

Sachdeva said the BJP government, which came to power in Delhi on February 20, fulfilled the 25-year-old demand of traders within 100 days. The proposal was sent by the Delhi government to the Centre, which was approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. After the Uphaar fire incident (1997), the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court had also said that police license was unnecessary, but the Congress and AAP governments ignored it. The BJP gave priority to it as soon as it came to power and gave relief to traders. Sachdeva said the people of Delhi, especially the business community, are very satisfied with the BJP government due to the continuous fulfillment of election promises. This is a direct benefit of the triple engine government, in which the Centre, Delhi government and the Lieutenant Governor are working together to solve the problems of Delhiites.
