Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh on Monday said that the recent COVID-19 cases in the city are showing only symptoms like viral fever, and there is no reason for the public to panic. His comments came as official data revealed Delhi now has 104 active COVID-19 cases.
He assured that government hospitals and medical staff are “200 per cent prepared” and a health advisory has been sent to all hospitals. “This is just a precautionary step, not a sign of emergency,” Singh said.
The health minister said that hospitals have been asked to keep beds, oxygen, medicines, and equipment ready in case the situation worsens. “The patients we’ve seen so far have mild symptoms like cough, cold, and fever. There’s no need to worry,” he told
According to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi had 99 active cases last week, and 24 people have recovered in the past seven days.
