Delhi Election 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged the people of Delhi to elect the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming assembly elections to develop the national capital. The PM continued his attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), calling it an ‘AAP-da’ for neglecting the people of Delhi in its ten-year rule.
“I have to come to urge you to give BJP a chance and let Delhi progress,” Modi said, addressing a rally in Rohini area of national capital on January 5.
Modi’s ‘Parivartan rally’ comes two days after he addressed a rally in Delhi’s Ashok Vihar neighbourhood after launching a slew of infrastructure projects on Friday.
Sounding the poll bugle for the BJP ahead of next month’s Delhi Assembly Election 2025, Modi launched a scathing attack on the AAP and its national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal. Without naming anyone, Modi accused the AAP government of pushing the national capital into an ‘AAP-da’ (disaster).
“A very big milestone in the journey of developed India is going to come soon. When India will become the third largest economic power in the world. It is very important that our Delhi, the capital of the country, walks step by step in this glorious journey. We have to develop Delhi as the capital of developed India,” Modi said.
“I want to appeal to the people of Delhi to give an opportunity to BJP for the bright future of Delhi. It is BJP which can develop Delhi,” he said.
The prime minister continued his attack on the AAP government. “In the last 10 years, the government that Delhi has seen is no less than ‘AAP-da’. Now, we can only hear ‘AAP-DA nahi sahenge, badal ke rahenge’ in Delhi. Delhi wants development, and the people of Delhi have trust in BJP,” Modi said.
