Farmers Suspend ‘Delhi Chalo’ March After Clash With Haryana Police

Security arrangements have been beefed up as farmers are all set to march from Noida to Delhi on Friday. A ‘jatha’ of 101 farmers will embark on a foot march to Delhi at 1 pm on Friday from the Shambhu border protest site, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher. Earlier this week, massive traffic snarls caused inconvenience to commuters crossing the Delhi-Noida borders as police set up multiple layers of barricades and deployed heavy security to stop the march announced by the farmers. Since then, they have been camping at the borders.
