However, Suryakumar Yadav (53) and Hardik Pandya (32) lifted India to a competitive total of 181/8. In reply, though Afghanistan started off on a strong note, they faltered quickly courtesy Jasprit Bumrah’s terrific bowling. Once Bumrah got the breakthrough wicket, Indian bowlers never let Afghanistan recover. Both Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh picked up 3 wickets each. Kuldeep Yadav, who had replaced Md Siraj in today’s Playing XI also scalped 2 wickets.
