‘Will continue to serve the people of India till my last breath’: PM Modi in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday while saying that he would “continue to serve people till his last breath” accused his opponents for “spreading rumours about fertiliser and gas shortages due to the war in West Asia to defame his government.

Referring to his 25-years in public life completed on October 7, the Prime Minister said, “I knew only two things-serving the people and the nation and the development of Gujarat. You (Gujarat) taught me how to do it. Whatever I have been able to do for the country, the credit goes to all my countrymen. I will remain indebted to you all my life…I will continue to dedicate myself to your service until my last breath…”

Modi was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre at Bhildi in Banaskantha district.

He said that over the past few years due to global uncertainty, the prices of fertiliser have increased sharply.

“Our government ensured that farmers do not have to bear the burden of these price rises and as we spent nearly Rs 16 lakh crore to ensure the fertilisers are available at affordable prices.
