Iran says it will attack the ⁠energy and water systems of Gulf countries if the US follows through with its threat to hit Iranian power plants if Tehran doesn’t fully open the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s representative to the International Maritime Organization says foreign vessels can still pass through the key waterway with coordination from the Iranian government for security and safety arrangements.

An Israeli attack has hit southern Lebanon’s Qasmiyeh Bridge, which cuts much of the south of Lebanon from the rest of the country, in an escalation that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun called a “prelude to ground invasion”.
