The Delhi Assembly’s Budget Session will commence with a ‘kheer’ ceremony on Monday, even as the Opposition AAP threatens to boycott it. On the first day of the Budget session, the Rekha Gupta Government will table Delhi’s economic survey report in the House.
The first day of the session will also witness the tabling of various reports of the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) related to the audit of Delhi’s finances, revenue, children in need of care, Delhi Jal Board, among others.
As per the business listed for Monday, the chief minister will lay the State Finance Audit Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) relating to the Government of NCT of Delhi for the year ended March 31, 2021 (Report No 01 of 2022); the CAG report on Revenue, Economic, Social and General Sectors and PSUs relating to the Government of NCT of Delhi for the years ended March 31, 2020 and 2021 (Report No. 03 of 2022); the CAG report on Performance Audit Report on Children in Need of Care and Protection relating to the Government of NCT of Delhi for the year ended March 31, 2021 (Report No 01 of 2023); and the State Finance Audit Report of the CAG relating to the Government of NCT of Delhi for the year ending March 31, 2022 (Report No 02 of 2023).
The Chief Minister also tabled the CAG report on the functioning of the Delhi Jal Board for the year ended March 2022 and the “functioning of universities of GNCTD for the year ended March 31, 2023”.
