Filmfare has learnt that Salman Khan’s upcoming action entertainer with producer Dil Raju has been titled Monster, and the superstar is currently in overdrive on set, having taken on a larger share of his own stunt work after his body double suffered a heart attack.
The untitled Vamshi Paidipally directorial, presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations and co-produced by Shirish, Kuldeep Rathore and Rafi Kazi, was announced earlier this year as Salman’s first collaboration with the Telugu producer, with Nayanthara headlining opposite him. The film is being mounted as a pan-India action spectacle across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, and is eyeing a big Eid 2027 release. Sources close to the production now confirm the makers have locked Monster as the title, with an official reveal expected soon.
What’s kept the unit on its toes, though, is a health scare within the action team. Sources tell us Salman’s body double suffered a heart attack recently, throwing a wrench into the shoot’s carefully planned stunt schedule. With a key member of his action support sidelined, Salman has reportedly stepped in to perform a larger chunk of the sequences himself, a decision insiders say is entirely in character for an actor known for insisting on doing his own stunts wherever possible.
“Salman is completely hands-on right now. He doesn’t want the schedule to lose momentum,” a source close to the sets tells us. The actor, who has a history of pushing through packed shooting calendars, is said to be splitting his energies between Monster and preparations for his other big-ticket commitments, making this one of his busiest work stretches in recent years.
