Dilip Gavit led the charge in para athletics, winning gold in the men’s T47 100m, with Mohammed Basil Morssinganakath adding silver as India celebrated a historic 1-2 finish. Murali Sreeshankar also added a silver in the men’s long jump, while Animesh Kujur progressed to the men’s 200m final.

Meanwhile, Tajinderpal Singh Toor and Samrpreet Singh both progressed to the men’s shot put final, while Santosh Kumar Tamilarasan and Yashas Palaksha qualified for the men’s 400m hurdles final.
