Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted an unannounced inspection on Monday in the Azadpur area, including Gupta Market, Azadpur Chowk, Tripolia Chowk, and nearby locations, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office. She reviewed ongoing Delhi Metro and Public Works Department (PWD) works, requesting detailed and real-time progress updates from officials.

Expressing dissatisfaction with delays, lack of coordination, and inadequate sanitation, Gupta reprimanded officials, warning that negligence in development projects would not be tolerated. She stated, “Development must be seen on the ground, not just on paper,” and instructed all departments to complete their projects within strict deadlines. Gupta emphasised that project execution should not disrupt public movement, safety, or daily convenience, which must remain priorities.
