Delhi’s CM Rekha Gupta launches decisive campaign against air pollution

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched a decisive and comprehensive campaign against air pollution in the national capital.

While announcing this initiative, the Chief Minister stated that, following the historic Green Budget of 2026-27, the Delhi Government has implemented the Air Pollution Mitigation Action Plan – 2026.

This plan represents a concrete step towards translating the vision of clean, green, and sustainable urban development into reality.

In this regard, the Chief Minister convened a review meeting today, attended by senior officials from all government departments, including cabinet ministers.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister also said that all 13 districts will have a ‘Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ for the first time.

‘For every animal lover in Delhi, this is for you. For the first time, all 13 districts will have a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals,’ she said in a press release.

CM Gupta further added that veterinary hospitals that were lying in a dilapidated condition are now being rebuilt with doctors, medicines, and proper systems.
