Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted an inspection in Shalimar Bagh on Thursday, assessing the state of drinking water, sanitation, and roads in the constituency. As part of her visit, she inspected a girls’ school and interacted with local residents to understand their concerns.
CM Gupta visited key locations, including Shalimar Village Chowk, Max Road, and Haiderpur Village Chowk, directing officials to address longstanding infrastructure and civic issues. She emphasized that her administration is committed to ensuring basic amenities for all citizens and will take swift action to resolve grievances.

Following her inspection, Gupta criticized the previous government for neglecting these issues, saying, “People here are struggling with sewage problems, incomplete drainage systems, and poor sanitation in market areas. The previous government only advertised people’s problems but failed to act. I will work to resolve these issues.”
Gupta also took to social media, sharing her visit and reaffirming her commitment to addressing public grievances. “Along with officials, I visited various areas in Shalimar Bagh to assess the condition of drinking water, sanitation, and roads. Based on residents’ feedback, I have directed officials to ensure quick resolutions. Our goal is to provide all basic facilities to every citizen of Delhi, and we are continuously working toward this.”
