Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva slammed Arvind Kejriwal by labelling him the “maha thug” in the Opposition alliance.
Sachdeva pointed to Kejriwal’s “flip-flop” on alliance strategies, claiming that the Delhi CM aims to politically thug Congress in the name of an alliance.
Sachdeva said the alliance of Opposition parties, “known as the thug gathbandhan”, is already showing signs of strain due to the self-centred politics of the Congress. However, Kejriwal appears to be emerging as the “maha thug” or the mastermind behind the alliance’s manoeuvrings, the BJP leader said.
He added that while Kejriwal is seeking an alliance with the Congress in Delhi, where corruption allegations have weakened the party’s political standing, a few weeks ago, Kejriwal had declared to contest and secure all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab. Furthermore, on Sunday, the AAP leader had said that the party would go solo in Haryana, citing its strength surpassing that of the Congress in these states.
