Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva described Aam Aadmi Party’s campaign to save slums as a campaign to save its own political existence. Sachdeva said that the Aam Aadmi Party, surrounded by allegations of corruption and as well as of not doing development work, is today pleading with the Congress on one hand to save its political existence and on the other hand trying to misleade the slum dwellers and the poor of Delhi.
He said that the Central Government has built thousands of houses for the poor at Kathputli Colony, Kalkaji and Jailerwala Bagh in Delhi, but Kejriwal should tell how many houses he has given to the poor during his tenure.
Modi government is continuously providing free ration to 72 lakh people in Delhi. They have provided around 2 Lacs free Ujjwala gas connections and provided Sunidhi employment loans to lakhs of poor.
On the contrary, despite the promise, Kejriwal has neither allowed the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to reach the real poor living in rented houses nor given them free electricity & water connection.
