In a bid to ensure the long-term preservation of the significant G20 Summit initiatives in New Delhi, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has taken a proactive step by forming a dedicated committee, it is informed by Shri Satish Upadhyay, Vice Chairman New Delhi Municipal Council.
Shri Upadhyay informed that under this proactive initiative, 35 fountains located in the South and 35 fountains in the North, originally installed to enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal during the G20 Summit, are now under the vigilant care of two different Executive Engineers. These engineers have been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the proper maintenance and functionality of these iconic fountains. NDMC has also renewed the annual maintenance contract for these fountains within its jurisdiction, reaffirming its commitment to preserving these integral features of New Delhi’s landscape.
