three armed men attempt robbery at Ssumier Pasricha’ s house

In a social media post shared on Monday, actor Ssumier Pasricha revealed that three
armed men broke into his Delhi house. The actor, who stays with his mother in Punjabi
Bagh, says that he is lucky that no one was hurt and the three men could just run with
some silverware that they could find in the temple at his home. He says, “It was at 3.30 in
the night and I felt that someone was walking in my room.

I partially opened my eyes and saw three armed men in my room with their faces
covered. I just went numb and started screaming and when I started screaming they
tried to harm me twice with something, but I wasn’t hurt. My house help came running
and when they saw there are more people in the house they started breaking the glass
around so that we don’t follow them and ran away. It all happened in just a few seconds. I
called the police around 4 am and then gave the description to the police.”
Ssumier says that he feels lucky that no one was hurt in the incident. “I am so thankful to
god that they entered in my room and could not get into my mother’s room. They
entered from the back lane of the house and broke all iron grills and locks. They turned
the face of the CCTV camera installed outside the house and then covered it with a cloth.
We can’t even identify them from the CCTV camera footage that we have. It is so scary.
One thinks that one is safe after installing cameras and taking all safety measures
possible, but you never can be safe. Since I am from Delhi and have stayed in Mumbai for
work, I always say that crime is everywhere whenever people tell me that Delhi is unsafe,
but after this incident, I actually thought that isse achcha to Mumbai ka flat hai. When
you stay with old parents, you really get scared with something like this. I have been
saying that it is just god’s blessings that saved us, anything could have happened that
night. I went to the temple next day to thank god that we are safe,” says Ssumier, who has
been travelling often now for the shoot of his upcoming show. “I keep travelling and that
scares me even more, but just praying that something like this should never happen again,” he adds
