Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Friday lashed out at
minister Atishi over her speech at Cambridge India Conference in London.
“The country wants to know from Atishi that from where she has brought the figure of 35
crore hungry people. The leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, who call themselves staunch
patriots, have left no stone unturned to embarrass the country,” Sachdeva alleged.
“These people shamelessly defame the country when they go abroad. Atishi will not be
forgiven by the country, especially by the people of Delhi,” he alleged further.
Sachdeva said that speaking against the country reflected Atishi’s ideology, culture and
“Marxist thinking”
The Delhi BJP president further stated that the whole world had seen how the central
government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided free ration
to 80 crore people during Covid. The scheme is still on. “Seventy-two lakh people are
being given free ration in Delhi as well,” he added.
Sachdeva said that India had become a source of inspiration for the whole world. “After
Covid, India has become the fastest growing major economy in the world. But it is
unfortunate that instead of serving the people and improving education, the education
minister of Delhi has taken the contract of defaming the country,” he stated.
Recalling an old remark of Rahul Gandhi, the BJP leader further claimed that the entire
opposition was not happy with India moving forward.
