Delhi-NCR witnessed light rain on Friday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the possibility of more rain and thunderstorms in Delhi till noon today. According to the forecast, the weather department said a cloud mass was seen approaching the national capital from the southwest.
“Delhi is likely to receive rain and thundershowers till noon today,” the IMD said.
Further, the agency said it was continuously monitoring the weather. Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain and winds are also likely at several places in Haryana, including Gurugram, Manesar Hansi, Meham, Rohtak and Bhiwani, the IMD said.
Light-intensity rain and gusty winds with a speed of 20-40 km/h are also likely in Rajasthan, the weather department said.
n Thursday, the national capital witnessed a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
Thursday’s minimum temperature settled two notches below the season’s average at 14.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity oscillated between 92 per cent and 37 per cent, the IMD said.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) at 8 pm on Thursday stood at 147 (moderate category).
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”.
