CM Rekha Gupta launches cashless medical facility for Delhi Jal Board pensioners

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today launched cashless medical facilities for the pensioners and family pensioners of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) under the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan. Addressing the occasion, the Chief Minister said that earlier, pensioners and family pensioners had to bear the cost of treatment from their own pockets and then go through a lengthy reimbursement process. With the introduction of the new cashless medical facility, beneficiaries will no longer have to bear treatment expenses upfront or undergo lengthy paperwork and reimbursement procedures, ensuring seamless healthcare experience.

Delhi Jal Board said that this facility is aimed at providing better healthcare services to more than 50 thousand pensioners. Under the facility, beneficiaries will be able to avail themselves of cashless medical treatment at DJB-empanelled hospitals. The facility will be available for emergency as well as planned and non-emergency treatments. It said that approved medical claims will be paid directly to the empanelled hospitals, thereby providing relief to pensioners and their families from the financial burden associated with medical treatment.
