PM Modi Urges Young Diplomats To Strengthen India’s Global Outreach And Grassroots Engagement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon young Indian diplomats to build strong grassroots-level engagement in their countries of posting and strengthen India’s connect with local communities.

Interacting with the Officer Trainees of the 2025 Batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) at Seva Teerth, the Prime Minister urged the young diplomats to expand their networks beyond governments and traditional diplomatic circles and develop meaningful relationships with people at the community level.

Prime Minister Modi encouraged the trainees to combine India’s civilisational strengths with technology, innovation and effective communication to further enhance the country’s global engagement.

He also emphasised the importance of strengthening the digital presence of Indian Missions, including the use of technology to make consular and other public services more seamless, responsive and citizen-centric. The Prime Minister called upon the young diplomats to play a proactive role in promoting India’s economic engagement with the world and to explore new avenues for strengthening India’s international partnerships

He also encouraged them to showcase India’s rich civilisational heritage, cultural diversity and geographical strengths to promote the country as an attractive global tourism destination. Modi suggested greater use of initiatives such as the “Bharat Ko Janiye” (Know India) Quiz to generate interest in India among young people worldwide, while encouraging the use of artificial intelligence and gaming to make such outreach more engaging.
