BJP announces new national team; Ram Madhav returns as vice president, Smriti Irani named general secretary

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced its new national office-bearers and organisational functionaries under party president Nitin Nabin. The appointments include several changes to the party’s top organisational team.

Ram Madhav has been appointed as a national vice president, marking his return to a key organisational role in the BJP. Smriti Irani and Vinod Tawde have been appointed national general secretaries.

Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jay Panda, D Purandeshwari, Rekha Verma, Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi, Bharti Pravin Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, M Nagaraja, Tariq Mansoor and Madhuchandra Kar have been appointed national vice presidents.

The BJP has also appointed eight national general secretaries as part of its new organisational team under party president Nitin Nabin.

The list includes Vinod Tawde from Maharashtra, Sunil Bansal from Delhi, Biplab Kumar Deb from Tripura, Smriti Irani from Uttar Pradesh, Satish Poonia from Rajasthan, Gajendra Patel from Madhya Pradesh, Harish Dwivedi from Uttar Pradesh and Sanjay Bhatia from Haryana.
