The ongoing controversy around Don 3 has got a new development as Salman Khan has reportedly stepped in to mediate the dispute between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar. Salman has reached out to both parties, urging them to settle their differences directly and amicably, without involving any film body or third party.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed that Salman wants to ensure both projects and relationships remain intact, asking them to think as one industry and resume work. The source stated, “Salman Khan is fond of Ranveer Singh, and is equally fond of the Akhtars too. He picked up the call on both the stakeholders and has asked them to resolve their issues without hurting the future of their respective projects. He explained to Farhan about creative differences being a common thing in the industry for decades, and he also had a long chat with Ranveer, understanding his stance. He is playing the cupid to ensure that no one feels sabotaged.”
The fallout began when Ranveer exited Don 3 due to creative differences with the makers. A report by Free Press Journal claimed that Ranveer envisioned a much darker and more aggressive version of the iconic character, favouring stronger language and heightened violence. On the other hand, Farhan wanted to remain closer to his original vision for the franchise. Reports also suggested that Ranveer was unhappy with repeated delays in production and the absence of a locked final script.
