Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday slammed the ruling TMC in West Bengal, alleging that it “earned a PhD in looting” over the last 15 years, and was only interested in the “development of infiltrators” at the cost of the youth, farmers and backward classes. Addressing a poll rally in Medinipur, Mr. Modi alleged that the Mamata Banerjee Government had presided over widespread corruption in teacher recruitment, government jobs, the mid-day meal scheme, MGNREGA works and relief funds meant for cyclone-hit people.
