In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said, “Reviewed the status and progress of key initiatives and ongoing works of the MCD. The discussion focused on strengthening service delivery, resolving legacy issues and enhancing enforcement and accountability across all zones.”

He further added, “Officers were directed to stay closely aligned with on-ground realities and remain responsive to public feedback to bridge existing gaps in service expectations.”

According to sources, the Lieutenant Governor also stressed the need to prioritise complaints received through various grievance platforms, including the L-G’s Listening Post, the MCD-311 app and issues flagged on social media and other public forums.

The meeting also underlined the importance of timely redress of civic complaints and improving responsiveness in areas such as sanitation, infrastructure maintenance and public services.

“We remain committed to delivering essential services efficiently and within defined timelines, and will extend full support to address operational challenges in building a cleaner, more responsive city,” Sandhu said.
