Sunrisers Hyderabad’s two debutant bowlers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain picked eight Rajasthan Royals wickets between them to help SRH defeat RR by 57 runs at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in an IPL 2026 clash.

Thanks to Hinge and Sakib, Rajasthan’s chase never quite took off after Hinge and Sakib initially reduced the Rajasthan Royals to 9/5 in the first three overs. Hinge, who was bowling the first over, picked up three wickets (Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, all for ducks) before picking up captain Riyan Parag in his second over. Meanwhile, Sakib picked up Yashasvi Jaiswal in his first over and then picked up Donovan Ferreira later.

Ferreira (69 runs off 44 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (45) were the reason Rajasthan’s night stretched so long after their partnership of over 100 runs for the 6th wicket. But once they both departed, RR’s chase of 217 was as good as dead.

Earlier, Ishan Kishan (44-ball 91) and Heinrich Klaasen (40 off 26) have helped Sunrisers Hyderabad set a target of 217 for the Rajasthan Royals in their IPL 2026 clash. Kishan’s blitz was just what the home side needed after lost both their star openers with just 55 runs on board. While Abhishek Sharma departed for a first-ball duck, Travis Head threw away his wicket for a 18-ball 18.
