Dhruv, Sooryavanshi power RR to six-wicket win over RCB

A blistering partnership between Dhruv Jurel and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi powered Rajasthan Royals to a commanding six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL 2026 clash in Guwahati.

Chasing a stiff target of 202, Rajasthan rode on an explosive 108-run stand between Jurel and Sooryavanshi, which came off just 37 balls, to take the game away from RCB. Jurel anchored the chase with a superb unbeaten 81, while Sooryavanshi set the tone with a quickfire 78, dismantling the opposition attack with ease.

The duo’s aggressive strokeplay ensured that Rajasthan stayed ahead of the required rate throughout the chase, eventually sealing the win with wickets and overs to spare.

Earlier, RCB posted a formidable 201/8, thanks largely to a captain’s knock from Rajat Patidar. The skipper struck a fluent 63 off 40 balls, stabilising the innings after an early collapse had put his side under pressure.

Virat Kohli fell cheaply, undone by a well-disguised googly from Ravi Bishnoi, leaving RCB in trouble in the powerplay. Patidar then led the recovery with a composed yet attacking innings to steer his team to a competitive total.
