According to Mid-Day, Ektaa Kapoor, who is producing Bhooth Bangla, thought of coming up with a promotional song instead of a dialogue promo as it would grab extra attention. A source told the portal, “Akshay and Priyadarshan’s 2007 horror comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ benefited immensely from its title song, ‘Teri Aankhein Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, which became wildly popular. So, this time, with Pritam having composed another song that has the potential to become a chartbuster, Ektaa felt it would catch on among listeners and create buzz around ‘Bhooth Bangla’. Attaching it to ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ made sense as it’s among the most-awaited films.”

Bhooth Bangla will definitely benefit from this move as the audience is highly awaiting the release of Dhurandhar 2. The first part, released in December 2025, rewrote box office history. It went on to shatter many records and became a trendsetter on social media.

Meanwhile, the report also suggests that the promotional song of Bhooth Bangla has been shot on a grand scale. Akshay will be seen with over 100 background dancers. The source has also revealed that the makers built a spooky mansion to suit the theme of the film.

Bhooth Bangla is set to hit theatres on April 10, 2026. It will also feature Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani, who passed away in 2025. On the other hand, Dhurandhar 2 will star Ranveer, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna in important roles.
