no pvt school can withhold CBSE roll numbers: Virendra Sachdeva

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday said the issue raised by Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj regarding the delay in issuing roll numbers to CBSE candidates by a private school in Saket was a consequence of decisions taken during the previous AAP government’s tenure.

Sachdeva said it was unfortunate that AAP leaders were highlighting the matter related to a single school to create an impression that students across private schools in Delhi were facing similar problems.

The Delhi BJP chief stated that the fee hike dispute involving Apeejay School, Saket, dates back nearly five years and has been an ongoing issue between parents and the school administration since the Covid period in 2020. He maintained that the matter has no connection with the present BJP government.

He asserted that the new education law introduced by the Delhi Government is stringent and ensures that no private school can withhold the roll numbers of students appearing for CBSE board examinations. He said parents can be assured that all eligible students will be able to appear for their exams.
