Suniel Shetty is set to reprise his much-loved character, Yeda Anna, in the upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle. This movie, which is currently in production, will see Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar collaborating once more, and Arshad Warsi has also joined the ensemble. Director Ahmed Khan said that Sunil will reprise the role with a twist, with the intention of recapturing the comedic elements and camaraderie that audiences have praised in their previous films. 

As reported by Pinkvilla, the director shared, “Well, Suniel is playing the character that we have picked up from Awara Paagal Deewana, Yeda Anna. So, he is playing Yeda Anna with a little different touch. He has got that already up his sleeve, the same character.” This return is expected to resonate with viewers who remember Suniel’s previous comedic performances and his rapport with the other lead actors. 

Ahmed Khan added, “You will basically see Anna, the same Suniel Shetty who was known for the character that he used to play: a funny, humorous Yeda Anna and Shyam.” He further explained that the connection between Suniel, Akshay, and Arshad is a key highlight, saying, “He and Akshay go many years, and their banter together with the timing being just right. So, in this, I have him (Suniel Shetty), Akshay Kumar, and Arshad Warsi together. So, it multiplies (fun) three times. He is having a ball, and so are we.”
