Parvesh Verma mocks Arvind Kejriwal amid Sheeshmahal 2.0 row

With the fresh controversy over Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal having reportedly been allotted an ultra-luxury bungalow in Chandigarh raging, Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma said that he would definitely like to see the “new one” and tell the media if that is better than the 6, Flagstaff property in Delhi where the former Chief Minister once stayed.

A fresh row erupted after the BJP claimed that the AAP National Convenor has been allotted a “7-star luxury bungalow” in Chandigarh by the Bhagwant Mann-led government. Sharing what it said was an aerial photograph of the property, the BJP alleged the two-acre residence in Chandigarh’s Sector 2 was sanctioned under the Chief Minister’s quota.

The BJP and the AAP were previously involved in a political fist-fight over Kejriwal’s official residence at 6, Flagstaff Road in Delhi, with the saffron party alleging that the former chief minister splurged public money to build a sprawling, super-luxury house for himself.

“I have seen Kejriwal’s bungalow in Delhi. I would definitely go and see the new one in Chandigarh. I will let you know which one is better and more luxurious,” Verma said in response to a question by the media, seeking his reaction to the ongoing controversy.
