Delhi To Witness Rain Today, IMD Predicts More Showers For This Week

 Delhi woke up to light drizzles in some areas on Monday, with the weather department forecasting rain showers throughout the day in the national capital.

The vice-president of private weather forecasting agency Skymet, Mahesh Palawat, wrote on X,”Delhi, get ready to be drenched in monsoon showers on July 28 and 29. The LPA (low pressure area) will move south of Delhi over the northeast.”

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorms with rain for today. The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 34 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Earlier on Sunday, Delhi saw a maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average, as per the IMD.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) was in the ‘satisfactory’ category, reading of 87 at 4 pm, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed.
