Suneet Varma Weaves a Spell with His Latest Collection at India Couture Week 2025

Bang in the middle of New Delhi, designer Suneet Varma took his guests on a dreamy journey, enchanting and surreal, as he unveiled Sehr, his latest couture offering. The beautiful Urdu word Sehr means enchantment or magic, and the collection, suspended between fantasy and fashion, invited the audience into his version of a mysterious enchanted forest.

Varma showcased his collection on Day 2 of Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, in association with Reliance Brands and an initiative of FDCI. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives fame on Netflix, turned showstopper for Varma.

Known for his theatrical flair and poetic sensibility, Varma leaned into the magic of mood this season. Models strutted down the runway, and it came alive with romantic silhouettes, diaphanous chiffons and silks that seemed to float rather than move, corseted bodices wrapped in shimmer, and languid shararas that danced with every step. Embellishments were elemental, featuring crystal-studded vines, glistening threadwork, garnets and pearls. Rose tints, ice lilacs, greys and obsidian black dominated the palette.
