The wait is over for the trailer of Housefull 5. The makers released it in the presence of the star cast today in the city, and it promises laughter, over-the-top confusion, unforgettable one-liners and fan favourite characters coming back. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, this fifth instalment in the Housefull franchise brings back the comedic trio of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Chunky Panday along with an ensemble cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer and Akashdeep Sabir.

The trailer opens with the characters on a cruise. Ranjeet announces his will and says that the rightful owner of his empire is his son Jolly. However, there is no Housefull without confusion or deception, so we have three Jollys in the mix- Abhishek, Riteish and Akshay. However, Ranjeet gets murdered, and the suspects are his three sons, along with their wives. And investigating this case are Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt.

Housefull 5 leans into nostalgia and one would find call backs to a lot of iconic moments. One such standout moment is a scene featuring Jackie Shroff delivering the line, “Choti bacchi hai kya?”, a hilarious reference to son Tiger Shroff’s now-iconic meme-worthy dialogue from Heropanti 2. It also includes a comical callback to the original Housefull, where Akshay Kumar’s character is once again at the receiving end of monkey slaps.
