The weather in Delhi-NCR including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, has changed suddenly, offering citizens a respite from the hot and humid conditions late Tuesday afternoon. Rain and thundershowers lashed the national capital along with Noida and other areas.
Strong dust winds blew in several areas at around 4 PM today with storm-like conditions in Gurugram.
In the next two hours, Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) could experience rain and thunderstorms, along with strong gusts, according to the IMD’s Tuesday forecast. Officials anticipate that the weather will have an effect on flight services.
“Light to Moderate Rain /Moderate thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds speed(40-60 kmph) is very likely to occur at most places over Central, East, New Delhi, North, North East, North West, Shahdara, South, South East, South West, West,” India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s latest forecast said.
Earlier in the day, the sun glared down over the city, becoming stronger as the day proceeded. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that temperatures would increase further, with the mercury expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius within the next three days, marking the return of extreme heat conditions.
