President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Monday where she will take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, confirmed Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The president will remain in the Maha Kumbh Mela for eight hours and witness the grandeur and spiritual significance of the largest religious gathering in the world.
Upon reaching the Maha Kumbh, President Murmu will start her day at the Sangam Nose. The president will take a ceremonial dip at the Nose of the Triveni Sangam and display her deep-rooted faith in Sanatan Dharma.
After taking the holy dip, the president will perform Pooja at Sangam Ghat. She will then perform Pooja and Darshan at Bade Hanuman Temple and Akshayvat.
In the Sanatan culture, the Akshayavat tree is considered a symbol of immortality. In Hinduism, the site has great significance and is also mentioned in ancient scriptures.
To support the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to integrate religious events using modern technology, President Murmu will pay a visit to the Digital Mahakumbh Experience Centre.
