The Narendra Modi government is planning to bring The Immigration and Foreigners Bill, 2025, which is likely to introduce stricter measures for immigration control, during the Budget Session starting Friday.

If brought, it is expected to replace The Foreigners Act 1946, The Passport Entry into India Act 1920 The Registration of Foreigners Act 1939 and he Immigration (Carriers’ Liability) Act, 2000.
