Launching his election campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday fiercely criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress, accusing both parties of mismanaging the capital for 25 years.

Speaking at a rally in North-East Delhi, PM Modi urged voters to choose a BJP-led “double-engine” government in the Assembly elections scheduled for February 5.

“You saw the first 14 years of this century under Congress and then gave 11 years to the AAPda government,” PM Modi said, using the term “AAPda,” meaning disaster, to describe AAP’s rule. “Yet, Delhi’s problems remain unchanged. These two parties have destroyed two generations,” he added.

The Prime Minister sharply criticized AAP for stalling Delhi’s development. “Crores of Indians are working toward the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India),” PM Modi said. “For India to become a developed nation, the capital must lead by example. But look at Delhi today—does it reflect that potential? Even Delhiites express their frustrations daily.”

PM Modi pledged that a BJP government would deliver on its promises, saying, “I will take care of you like the head of a family looks after his loved ones. This is ‘Modi ki Guarantee’—a guarantee that every assurance will be fulfilled.”

Confident of the BJP’s victory, PM Modi highlighted key priorities, including housing for the poor, modernization, reliable water supply, and eliminating the tanker mafia.
