1st Test Day 3: IND 231/3, Virat Kohli falls at stroke of stumps in Bengaluru

Right off the final ball of the day New Zealand spinner Glenn Phillips picked the wicket of Indian batter Virat Kohli to keep India at 231/3 trailing still by 125 runs in the first of the three-match Test series in Bengaluru on Day 3. Sarfaraz Khan scored a sublime half-century and is unbeaten at the crease.

Before the magical partnership between Kohli and Sarfaraz which has given a little hope to the Bengaluru crowd both Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal started well with the former chipping in with a half-century.

Earlier Rachin Ravindra scored a majestic hundred to take New Zealand to 402 runs in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers for the Indian team with three wickets.
