A double by Merih Demiral inspired Turkey to a 2-1 win over Austria in their Euro 2024 last 16 match on Tuesday and a place in the quarter-finals. Austria pressed hard for the equaliser after Michael Gregoritsch pulled a goal back just after the hour and it took a stunning save by Turkey goalkeeper Mert Gunok in time added on to ensure they secured the win.
