Calling it “drama”, the BJP on Sunday said it was shameful that the AAP government was “engrossed” in an “air-conditioned Satyagraha” even as cases of deaths due to the heatwave were continuously increasing in Delhi.

Instead of taking measures to prevent such deaths, which the people of Delhi were facing on the one hand with a water crisis on the other, the AAP’s leaders were making “petty political statements”, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva alleged.

“This’ll be the first Satyagraha movement in Indian history where the Satyagrahi comes only to pose for photos in front of the media and then disappears. This fact is clearly revealed in some videos received from there, showing a special meter on the wall of another’s house in the service of Ms. Atishi, and four 4-tonne ACs are running there,” Sachdeva said.
