Fifties from Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer helped KKR register a comfortable eight-wicket win over SRH to reach their fourth IPL final on Tuesday.

An all-round bowling performance led by Mitchell Starc helped KKR dismiss SRH for 159 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad before KKR chased down the target within 14 overs.

Pat Cummins’ Sunrisers Hyderabad had won the toss and opted to bat first against KKR at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Mitchell Starc picked up three wickets to rock SRH in the Powerplay.

We know how important the powerplay is. These were the two sides who have dominated in the powerplay. We needed to pick early wickets. The way Head and Abhishek have been playing, they like width and free their arms. The spinners were effective and the whole bowling department was bang on. Got lucky I guess (Head) was nice to see his back early, not always the case.  It’s good to see how they hard they train. Harshit has been phenomenal.
