After the mass flight cancellations from Vistara early last month, now more than 70 flights were cancelled by Air India Express from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning. Both international and domestic flights were called off after the senior crew members of the airline went on mass ‘sick leave’, news agency ANI reported citing sources.
Currently, the matter is being looked into by the Civil Aviation authorities. Responding to the flight cancellations, a spokesperson for Air India Express, said the teams are actively addressing this issue to minimise any inconvenience caused to the passengers.
“A section of our cabin crew has reported sick at the last minute, starting last night, resulting in flight delays and cancellations.
