Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government Tuesday, alleging that Delhi CM Kejriwal’s Enforcement Directorate summons for the Delhi excise policy case were attempts of the BJP to “weaken” the CM. “If the BJP is afraid of any leader, it is Arvind Kejriwal; the BJP wants to weaken him; it appears that it is only Arvind Kejriwal [who] haunts them,” he said. Kejriwal has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate to appear before them on January 2.

In other news, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin Tuesday morning. The two CMs met to discuss ways to further strengthen the opposition alliance, informed Chadha. Chadha said the leaders discussed eradicating corruption, inflation, price rise and joblessness. Meanwhile, CM Kejriwal is set to attend the opposition INDIA alliance fourth meeting on Tuesday in New Delhi. The meeting, where the leaders are likely to discuss and finalise their plan to take on the ruling BJP ahead of the 2024 polls, will be held at 3 pm.
