The Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi has swapped ministers Atishi and Saurabh
Bharadwaj’s portfolios. Bharadwaj will hand over the Water Ministry to Atishi, who previously
led the Tourism, Art, and Culture department. Bharadwaj will take over the Tourism
Department in place of Atishi.

Following the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Health Minister
Satyender Jain from their respective positions after they were jailed in corruption cases, she
was appointed as a Cabinet Minister in the Tourism, Art and Culture department to the Delhi
Government along with Saurabh Bharadwaj

For the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Atishi was appointed as the East Delhi Lok Sabha incharge. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, she ran as an AAP party candidate from the East
Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. She lost to Gautam Gambhir, the BJP candidate, by a margin of 4.77 lakh votes.
