In what was an all-round domination from all three departments on the field, South Africa posted a 134 run win against Australia in their second league stage game of the tournament at the Ekana International Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday. Earlier, opener Quinton de Kock got his second successive ton at the 2023 ODI World Cup to help South Africa post 311/7 in their quota of 50 overs.
The opponents were recently engaged in a five-match ODI series in South Africa. The Proteas won the series 3-2. The battle between Australia fast bowlers and South Africa’s top-order will be pivotal to the outcome of the match. Both teams will be hoping to gain the upper hand with a strong performance in this area of the game.
