Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva has welcomed the order of Lt. Governor of Delhi releasing Rs. 800 crores for initiating development works in rural areas through D.D.A.

Recently a delegation of Delhi BJP & village Panchayat leaders led by the Delhi BJP President had met the Lt. Governor of and apprised him of the problems being faced by farmers of Delhi & other residents of village areas. The demands mainly related to withdrawal of Property Tax levied on villages, restoration of Farming Status for Delhi alongwith lack of development work in far flung village areas.

During the meeting Sachdeva had urged the Lt. Governor to intervene to ensure that even as other reliefs sought by farmers like restoration of farming status & withdrawal of Property Tax involving Aam Aadmi Party government may take time the development funds for village areas should be released at earliest.

Taking note of the delegation’s demand the Lt. Governor got the matter speedily examined and has got a huge fund of Rs. 800 crores released for work through D.D.A.
